Chicken Afritada Recipe

I have made Afritada before, but haven't made Chicken Afritada. I made it a little bit spicy by adding some hot sauce. You may use other chicken parts but I have chosen to use chicken breasts because I love chicken breasts and I want more meat. And that I think chicken breasts is healthier there are people eating more chicken breasts now a days because it is lean and healthy. And this dish is healthy because it has lycopine with the tomato sauce and the vegetables.

Chicken Afritada is another one of those tomato based dishes that's yummy and nutricious try and make some today.

Chicken Afritada Ingredients: 
chicken parts
1 medium onion diced
4 cloves garlic minced
potatoes peeled and sliced
carrot peeled and sliced
green and red bell peppers sliced
2-3 bay leaves
chicken stock
green peas
salt
sugar
pepper

Chicken Afritada Step by Step Cooking Procedure: 
Step 1:Prepare chicken cut chicken into bite size pieces then season with salt and pepper. 

Step 2: heat pan with oil when oil is hot cook chicken until chicken is lightly brown then set aside.

Step 3: In the same pan saute garlic and onions until fragrant then readd chicken and cook for few minutes. 

Step 4: add tomato sauce and chicken stock and bay leaves and simmer for few minutes.

Step 5: Add carrots and potatoes simmer for few minutes more add in bell peppers and green peas season with green peas. 

Step 6: Season with salt, sugar and black pepper for spiciness add hot sauce.
